RedFox Blog: Vaccine in Trouble ?

There is disturbing news about the Oxford experiment on a new vaccine for the Covid-19. There has been an adverse reaction to the vaccine from a volunteer. It is at the moment not known how badly the person was but he went to hospital with the problem. As anyone would expect the trials have been halted pending a further investigation into the reaction itself. And of course will be looked into because this might be a one off or it might be a thing that will make this trial vaccine unsafe. If its safe enough to continue then the trials will restart.

But! if the investigation reveals that the vaccine is unsafe then it will have to be scrapped and start again on researching another vaccine. There at the moment has been no further reports of any other adverse reactions so the hope is that this is just a one off. Its always important to find out that if something that should protect the body but instead causes an adverse reaction. Then it should be safe. Although disappointing to hear but safety is an important feature of finding a cure for Covid-19. And that’s why trials are being carried out. To find if they are safe.

Bombing Enquiry

The Manchester Arena Bombing took place 18 months ago and has caused a huge scare on the city. Some few weeks ago the Inquiry started to investigate what happened on the night with the emergency Services. It is a catalogue of failures. The only Emergency Service that appeared on the scene on time was the Ambulance service. However they were stooped in their tracks by the British Transport Police. The greater Manchester Police were not even informed about a concert that was going on at the time. And! this is not a joke. How can this of happened. Could they have saved more lives if they had reacted quicker?

It should have taken to make the scene safe a mere 30 minutes but that was not the case. They all waited for the Fire Brigade and that took an astounding two hours to turn up at the scene. This of course not good enough. The victims lay here waiting but was never treated on time due to the delay. But! yet again where was the security. In the evidence that has just been given the GMP did not even know that there was a concert on. So how can a concert been covered when even the police did not know about such a huge public event. The enquiry continues.
