RedFox Blog: Where’s The Money Coming From ?

With the negotiations over the future trading relationship with the EU failing then we would also have to worry about the investment the EU ploughs back into our country. Like science. The EU spends almost all of its scientific research here in the UK. That budget is vast and yet on the 1st of January all that investment will have disappeared. Did they ever think of the smaller business’s that rely on EU handouts to make ends meet. The UK government has had an hidden agenda all along to make sure that a Hard Brexit happened and closed their eyes to the other industries that survive on our links with the EU.
And the London Finance Markets will suffer as well. Because at the moment the service industry is centered in the UK. And if the money is pulled and the Financial Markets in London will find it harder to trade and compete with EU Markets. And that will cost the UK dearly as the square mile will not be able to compete fairly with the European Markets. The money will have left the UK with leaving the EU without an agreement. There is no forward thinking or logic to some peoples claims that the UK will be better off. The UK Won’t and it is as simple as that.
Tough Choices
The Coronavirus pandemic in the UK has started on a second wave. Amid new restrictions of which many people are ignoring there are to be old style lockdowns. However the UK Prime Minister has actually trying to avoid this scenario. Many see the start of the UK lockdown as another nail in the economic flow of the country. But! the Labour opposition do not see it this way. In fact they support a limited lockdown to get on top of the virus and to limit its spread. However much the UK Prime Minister wants to avoid another UK wide lockdown he cannot close his eyes to those traveling to to other non lockdown cities.
This is why the Coronavirus is being spread as people from one city travel to another city to drink their pint. The whole country has to be lockdown to avoid a very bad winter where the NHS will be overwhelmed. Covid cases are definitely on the rise and no one really knows how they are getting it. The inadequate Test and Trace service provided by a private contractor is not turning around things. In fact they are sinking Slowly under their own work. As people test positive the links to the other people they have met are not being contacted letting Covid-19 take hold.
