Observing to what is going on over the other side of the Atlantic is a shock. There is no worse situation than calling an election fraud. There has been no evidence to support any claims of this happening. But what it is doing is trying to delay the voting of the electoral collage so that the incoming president elect Joe Biden does not get elected on the day appointed. This is a major concern because who then has an authority to take command of an emergency situation ? The sitting president can’t because he was not elected on November 3rd. But the president elect can’t because he still has not been sworn into office.

If the leadership of the free world is in doubt then who takes command ? There is no one at the tiller and so there would be no one actually taking the emergency decisions if there was an attack. In the UK this could happen but does very rarely. But in the US things can be delayed if the electoral college does not meet on December the 14th. That means the president of the united States cannot take office until the electoral college decides. THIS IS A SECURITY RISK! Pure and simple. The worlds largest military useless because there is no president to take control.

Will The Tourist Industry Recover ?

This year saw the Covid-19 pandemic and much of the tourist industry affected by the many lockdowns and the restrictions an travel. The many parts of the globe have had different success’s in controlling the virus but have shut their gates on people coming in from other parts of the world. The virus has changed how we travel for the foreseeable future and if any of the travel companies survive we will only see them pick up after 2023. A long time in the life of a travel business which need the finance just to hang on. And where that will come from no one knows.

Even the announcement that there are now successful vaccines to combat the virus it will take a lot of years just to get back what we have lost. And that means that companies hungry for our money may not survive the next few years. Many people have been made redundant in many countries in the tourist industry because of cash flow problems. And they all need to survive another few years. Tourists will have to be persuaded to start to travel again when all this is over and life gets back to some normality. But when that is will be any ones guess.
