Yes the excitement of space exploration is coming thick and fast. The first instalment is that SpaceX has just launched and docked America’s first commercial space flight to the international Space station. This is a milestone in the way space is used. And it shows that commercial space can happen. It now means that SpaceX has a leap on the competition in the way it deals with the space exploration issue. Generating income is the most difficult for commercial space flight but this shows it can be done successfully. And at a good profit for the company.

The next involves Starship. Yes that is about to enter a new phase because as soon as this week there will be a 15km flight of the craft. It shows how SpaceX has the capability to now launch crews into space and gain profit for the company. Starlink its space based internet service will pay the way for the company as it then will not have to wait for government funding. The US company under its own steam can then begin to explore new ways of funding. Funding is critical in the building and flights of all SpaceX adventures. And the first of these is to establish a moon base.

Trees!

An amazing fact that trees eat carbon dioxide. Yup they do but then we are cutting them down like they were not a solution to climate change. In the Amazon forest they are burning all the trees to make way for farming. But this releases carbon dioxide into the atmosphere and is causing global warming. But now in the UK there is a big push to plant more trees. There is nothing that humans can do to stop global warming if all the trees are all cut down. Even the his Royal Highness the prince of wales has said that its time to plant more trees. And it was launched yesterday on the BBC.

The heritage that this will create means that in a long time there will be more trees in the UK than there was before the war. But we have talked about land being short. Will these trees survive the onslaught of building houses, roads or rail ? we shall see. But in the meantime I do think this should be supported and given some positive spin. Because if we do not do this then there will be a downfall in our weather leading to climate change that cannot be undone. We must invest in our ecological world and to support the wildlife that it also supports. Before its too late!
