Well the Christmas getaway is definitely bit the dust due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Nope nothing to get away for as everything is closed due to countries trying to control the virus. Many countries business which relies on the Christmas holidays may go under with many jobs at risk. Even the new year getaway will never happen. And that will hit many hotels and venues as they will not be able to throw those New Year parties. And governments urging keeping the festive period very short. This will be a Christmas that everyone would like to forget.

Even the airlines and airports that move millions of people will suffer. The Christmas Holiday period is a major part of the travel year and yet there will be nothing for them to rejoice about. Airports earn millions from the passengers but this year will certainly be different. And even home grown business’s will be affected as there stay overs for the New Years eve parties. This pandemic effects everything and there will be hundreds effected when the bills arrive on the doorsteps of the business’s effected. But then what can you do ? But sit and watch.

Trading Watch

The trading floors of all the stock exchanges will be trading right up to Christmas eve but then the selling will stop for Christmas. But what will happen after that. The Christmas party has had to be cancelled and the New Years eve party has also been cancelled due to Covid. But will the trading floor live through this period or will like everything else make those redundancies in the New Year. This will be the toughest Year on record for the London Stock exchange. As well as Covid it will have to cope with Brexit. And that will mean everything going overboard.

Because the London Stock exchange which relies on the financial sector of the European Union. It will not be part of this agreement or no agreement. Mass redundancies are on the cards and many will lose their jobs or even will have to move to another European city to carry on as a trader. All the European Banks will move their operations to Germany the next financial Centre of operations. The Germans will rubbing their hands as the UK departs the Union. And as the UK gets poorer the Germans will be better off. Berlin will be laughing.
