RedFox Blog: Are You Happy ?

Really I do mean are you happy. Some of us though would like to be more comfortably off financially. This would mean that we could afford much more in life than having to look at the household finance’s. This means that we could afford that nice holiday in Turkey. But sometimes life gets in the way. Everyone that is rich seems to me to be eager to earn a lot more. But then comes the boring lifestyle you lead as there is no goal to go for. And yet the poor actually have a better lifestyle. But they do have more fun than being rich. I saw a program in which people swap holidays.
This means the rich goes on the poor holiday and the poor go on the rich holiday. The rich holiday was an all inclusive package and those that would normally not be able to afford this did not like what they were given. But then the rich family were equal in the poor holiday as it meant mucking in. Something that the well off did not like. I believe it is not how much you want to spend on holiday but the quality of the holiday itself. We went on a farm which was cheap. It was a small place that we stayed in. But! it was very comfortable. It had all the mod cons. We had a very cozy time and enjoyed ourselves.
Getting The Politics Right 9/3/21
The Coronavirus has highlighted the fundamental divide within society. Yesterday we dealt with the rich and the poor holiday and here we see Coronavirus taking advantage of the deprived. The lifestyle is very much different. Were the lifestyle of those that can provide proper and healthy food means they are less likely to have infection. But those that live in deprivation have the biggest chance of being infected and dying of Covid. We also see the UK government not giving support to lowest payed so they cannot self isolate. And that means the virus has a better chance of spreading around.
All governments around the world have a responsibility to stop the virus from spreading by helping those that cannot afford to self isolate to pay them enough to self isolate. Money should not stop someone from doing the right thing and self isolating . But if they cannot do this then the words of any government are hollow. So they would have to be evicted while they self isolate. Is this a good policy ? Some people have had this scenario forced upon them. How then do they do the right thing ? Government should step up to the plate and stop the evictions and pay them a decent amount so the people that are infected are not forced to go to work.
