There has been disappointment at the new that Rishi Sunak the Uk’s Conservative government Chancellor of the exchequer has started to tighten the purse strings as the uk nears the corner of the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic. He has chosen to hit business when it needs the help most. And then he has also chosen to hit the unemployed by taking away in September of the temporary increase of Universal Credit in September. This means that those claiming it will be very poor if they find a job after this is taken away.

And! yea this will have a financial impact on the country as a whole because spending power goes down. Why ? Because the unemployed will have ti find a job so they can avoid the cut in Universal Credit. And if that is not possible then they will be surviving on the breadline. Perhaps the government really have not thought this cut through. It will have an impact as more companies fold and the number of unemployed rises. That will hit more shops which in turn will make people redundant to try and make the business solvent. And! that will be a hard task!

And Why Would You Vote For That ? 23/3/21

In my area of the Uk. It vote mostly for the Conservative party. I recently asked a group of people why they voted for the party candidate. And the reply came that they honestly did not know why they voted Conservative. For some reason they go out and vote and then when the elections have finished and their Conservative Candidate has been elected they then start moaning that their councilor does nothing. I then ask why did you not vote for the alternative candidate. They then came back and said well the other candidates were not Conservative.

In the many years I have lived in this area I have been involved in local politics. I do not understand how people can vote for the people that treat them so rotten and yet go out and vote for them. I don’t think they quite understand what they are voting for and the relationship between a Councilor and they way they vote. However in the many cities in the Uk it is the opposite way round. The UK labour party do well and they have the same sort of people going out and voting for them. Mind you a lot of Labour Councilors works very hard for the people they represent.
