With the very unusual weather in very recent memory it is not surprising to say everything is now even worse. After a very dry but cold April. It is now raining cats and dogs. I mean the picture above is now about to come true. There are flood warnings out so swollen rivers are not very unusual. But the time of year is. In the past this time of year would be warm and sunny and yet there is so much rain falling in such a short period of time. There has never a time where the weather is very different. Should be full of lovely blossom but none has appeared.

Growth of grass has also been different. In April where the grass shoots up there is very little to cut. But now watching out of the window all I see is very high grass. And yet usually the grass slows down and is very easily managed. Not this time as the grass is growing like the clappers. Is this I wonder a sign of things to come. I hope not! I think that the seasons will change with the weather but it will be settled then this. Eventually we will get used to it and our lives will once again be accustomed to the seasons. But for now we will have to get used to seeing the changes in weather patterns.

A Question Of Health 14/5/21

With the advent of the car the worlds population has become more lazy. That sets up an argument because many people do not think they are lazy. Let me explain. People now get into their cars and then drive to work. They then walk a short distance to their office. Very few people actually do anything that gets them out of breath. We all eat fatty foods that is not good for us and nutrition is at a historic low. So do we actually keep our selves fit ? The answer has to be no. If we did then we would not see people having heart attacks and having gastric bands.

But there is actually no excuse. This article is response to my relatives being inside a hospital because one has had an heart attack and the other has had a gastric band fitted due to being over weight. Health services may have been over whelmed by coronavirus but what about the over whelming of our health care systems because of the obesity crisis. I did write an article about this recently but most people do not understand how they eat and what will become of them. Being healthy is our responsibility and not the hospitals or politicians. us and us only can change things.
