The worries are over the coronavirus and the great summer of sport that is about to begin. The champions league that cannot be played in Italy was thought that it should come to the UK. But now because of the likely hood that other countries will not be able to come here they have now moved that to Portugal. The Euro 2020 football championships is meant to be played in 11 different countries including Wembley. But! will it ? It all hangs in the balance. It could be done without an audience. But many claim this is not football. The Tokyo Olympics delayed from last year is always in doubt.

See the problem is that anyone going to these mass sporting events will be able to spread the virus if they come into contact with anyone else with Covid. And how would you know they have not got Covid ? The answer is you don’t. These big sporting events are very big super spreader events. Mind you if you outside the virus does not spread so easily. But on the other hand if the event is in a stadium. Touch something and then eat a sandwich and virus will be in you. A difficult choice to make when you are the government. But the choice has to be made!

A Question Of Mental Fitness 22/5/21

Recently there has been a murder. The murder was committed by a serving police officer. No one including the highest ranking police commander did not suspect the officer at first but then when it was revealed it was disbelief all round. How could this happen ? The questions now have to be answered. We respect the police for what they do. But! there are times that when this sort of thing happens no one really can believe it has happened. George Floyd is another case to discuss. Here again the killing of a person that likely going about his lawful business stopped by police officers.

He then became aggressive and the police then had to restrain him. The officer in question put his knee on his neck. That then stopped that oxygen going to Floyd. That then caused a cardiac arrest and killed Floyd. But was this a mistake ? The problem was Floyd was from the African-American community and the officer was accused of racist behavior. Most arrests in the U.S are from the African-American Community. The officer in question was found guilty of murder and was jailed. So! how well do we know our police officers ? Are they mentally tough enough for the Job ? And if not should we not let them become officers ?
