It is without a doubt that watching an engineering marvel take shape is a wonderous thing. You may think how do you watch such a thing when there is no Television pictures of it being built. The SpaceX starship I mean. Yes the Starship program is actually getting near a fully functioning Starship. But instead of the old way of just building something and just hope it works when humans want to take off in it. It is tested before anything else is built. So when Humans get to fly in it it will have been tested to destruction well before its maiden flight into space with humans aboard.

This means there is no costly price humans will pay in lives lost. It will have been deemed safe to use before even a human gets inside. But before that day the first flight will be on auto pilot. Yup! I did say auto pilot. If you remember the first human flight in crew dragon well that was not the first one. There was an auto pilot flight before that to make sure that the space craft would be safe for humans to use. This is an actual expensive way to build such things but then again this will be a reliable space craft to use. And many people know its safe to use.

Farming Fish

This week we discussed the decline of fish stocks in the North Sea because of decades of overfishing. Well now there is a simple solution that we humans have invented to stop the decline in fish stocks and put fish back on our dinner tables. Fish Farming. This might sound strange and it is not a revolution as t has been around for decades. Many countries have the infrastructure and the ability to source fish eggs to grow in their farms. If you live near a modest piece of water then anyone can start up a fish farm. The one in the picture is probably in the United States but they have them here in the UK.

They are to be found mostly in the North of this country and in Scotland. The one above are I would have thought are tanks but the ones in Scotland look like nets dumped into a fresh body of water or lake. Then there is the eggs to start the farm off. If you know a farmer who has fish eggs to sell then you buy the eggs and off you go. As a resource the eggs are a sustainable source because each female fish will always produce eggs. Its very much a big business with huge profits as the fish will be grown in huge numbers and for the ever growing need for fresh fish. Unlike the fish in the North Sea.
