Last year I blogged about how wet it was and how this country will cope with a very wet winter. And guess what its da ja vue. Yes it is raining again but not just in the UK across most of Europe it is becoming more and more soggy. As the rains continue there is the ever increasing chance that there will be flooding never before seen in places. And even flash flooding will occur. This has some very undesirable effects that sooner rather than later will effect us. In shortage of potatoes more and more soggy winter harvests. There is no end of problems the weather brings.

In its total amount of rain fallen every government also has to pick up the pieces. There will unfortunately be fatalities. And those people that have died there will be calls for better protection from the flooding. But the ultimate cause of this unusual weather is climate change and human activity which is causing this. We have to now accept that most of us are causing the changes in the weather pattern and to cut pollution is now the only option. Because the damage is being done now and it needs to be tackled so that our next generation will not suffer.

Another Hidden War

No the picture only represents troops used by countries to protect their interests in the act of aggression. But this war this time is against Armenia and Azerbaijan. The two countries hold one piece of land which is in Azerbaijan but full of ethnic Armenians. This has for many decades caused friction among the two countries and that has fueled war. But! pointing that out the two countries have not exploded into war while they have been independent. Until Now! That means for the first time the countries have become frontline news. And it is a cause for concern.

It is not the two countries but the supporting country that has fueled this concern. That country is turkey. Turkey is supporting Armenia by supplying the weapons to launch the attacks with. And Russia as an independent nation watching with concern the growing support. But Russia used to be part of the two countries and has at the moment remained neutral in its activities. But the question is for how long ? If the fighting intensifies then the Russians may be forced in taking sides. And if that happens then that may bring a wider conflict between Russia and Turkey.
