With this comes some stress Because again I was watching the BBC’s Countryfile programme and on that was a farmer/ Presenter called Adam Hanson. He was explaining the problems with this years wheat crop and how it has been damaged by the weather being so wet in the autumn of last year then a drought in spring. This shows the changing climate our farmers across the world are facing. The they showed other parts of the UK where unusual things that are happening to our environment which means that crop is been grown in an unusual part of the country.

Lets take wine making. In the UK wine is being grown in the Southeast of England. But because the climate is now very Favourable for wine growing it has moved to South Wales. Yes you have read this right. South Wales has now a fast growing vineyards on the coast. This wine production though is dependent on the weather being kind to them. And at the moment things are going great guns. There is another good place to grow another very unusual crop.. Chickpeas. Yup! there being grown in the fields of East Anglia. Not really known for this crop but they are being grown for the first time in East Anglia.

Living Life To The Max!

In this weeks Friday blog there has to be a sensible question. And that is do you live life to the max ? If you do then its good upon you but if you don’t then there could be problems ahead. A physically challenging world keeping fit these days I know is hard. But there should be time put aside for your health. Over the spring and Summer I have seen many take up running for their fitness. But as the cold weather approach’s then that will be hard to keep up. But! there should be no reason to give it up. Running is part of a solution to run off extra calories and has health benefits as well.

Just taking a brisk walk means that you are getting out and about. The most common benefit is mental welfare. Going to a gym does have its drawbacks but if the price is right and you don’t want to run in the cold and rain. Then this could be a stop gap solution to your fitness routine. Even gathering colds and the flu can be warded off by brisk exercise. I have found that even the flu can be short lived if you take exercise. And there are other methods of fun to be had if you don’t enjoy running. I have taken up strength which is another way of shedding that weight. And believe me I am very happy doing it.
