The second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic has been entered and things are worse than the first wave. Many countries are seeing more cases than ever and the hospitals are now overflowing with even more cases. And! even more deaths are on the way. In America the disease is now overwhelming and the disease is now out of control. Many doctors in that country will have to make a choice that should not have to happen. Trust in the politicians in that country has now been lost . But there is a hope of a vaccine that will give protection to those most at risk of becoming severely ill with the virus.

However there are many people that are very suspicious of a vaccine that has been developed over a short space of time. But with trials that have gone over at least 8 months and have included many human trials then any vaccine has to be applauded. It is the science Communities commitment that has got us here and lots of hard work and long hours. And of course lots of trials and errors. If we do not take this opportunity then we will never come out of lockdown. And we will ever be in the cycle of having our freedoms restricted all the time.

An Unsettled world

In this day and age you would have thought that we could put our differences to one side and create a peaceful world. Not one bit of it. In fact the world is now more unsettled than it has been over the last 70 years. With China, Turkey, Belarus and many other countries were the president or Prime Minister threatens to destabilize the peace. However the biggest global threat at the moment is in all the protests that are going on. In fact the biggest problem of demos getting out of hand is in the USA. With Black Lives matter and a president that won’t listen. Things there are out of control.

The stability question also applies to Hong Kong were many pro democracy protesters have been jailed. Mind you this is not the first time in that country that this has happened. The instability of the world is now threatened by violence in Ethiopia. Many though are at peace. The Sudan is now at peace and there is some peace now in Syria. The civil war now long been settled. But there is still an area in that country that the government there is fighting. Peace though needs to be given a chance and the restoration of normal relations between countries should be encouraged.
