When this was discussed some weeks ago it was just a discussion. But it was an action the UK Government had to take to stop travelers from bringing the virus into this country and causing more infections. And at last they have done it!. It is not that everyone would be happy but its there to make everyone think that if you travel then spreading the virus could be an issue. You do not at present need to travel along distance just to have a break. As in most countries you can have a nice break in the country you live in. Including here in the UK.

Ok there is no guarantee of sun and warmth. But! there are mild areas of the UK where you expect long sunny days. And if you go to the Southwest of this country the days are full of sunny hot weather. Going abroad this year will be of the menu due to Covid. I cannot see this year being the year of recovery of the international travel industry. Of which has had a very bad twelve months due to all of the lockdowns. Holidays in the UK will ensure that the Covid outbreak is a thing that the UK government will have under control. And will keep the standards that we are used to.

Cost! 15/2/21

With all the lockdowns and all the business’s going out of business there will be a day when the payback starts. This will be when tax returns start to increase. With this Conservative government in place that will mean public services will be the most hit. However with most public services unable to take any more cuts. The public purse will come under very big strain. There is nothing like being out of pocket. And! there is nothing that any public services can do but meet the instructions of the government. However much the government takes away the cost will be very high.

Many people will be unemployed and will be on welfare until the jobs market comes back. This mean the treasury will have to foot the bill for many years to come. But it does not mean that those on the bottom have to suffer. Those that are rich enough should pay their fair share in tax. And they should not put it in the bank to line their own pockets. Most countries have to survive by balancing its books. Although in the UK the government is trying to be like America where the rich take it all. But in a small country like the UK. This idea will not work. And many will suffer!
