Well we are nearly there. The lockdown has worked again as cases of Covid-19 has reduced and the vaccine rollout is continuing. But there is now an issue of confidence if you apply for a job or go on holiday because the question will be “have you had the jab ” ? As it is not compulsory to have the vaccine the question means that will the clients or other work colleague’s be safe from you. If the infection was because you did not get vaccinated then you will find yourself being sacked through fear of further infections. And who could blame them.
The world has gone through a lot to get to this point and anything that puts the illness into the work place or putting other people at risk of catching Covid-19 then you would remain a risk to others. Even though take up is high it does not mean that there are people that do not wish to vaccinated. I do know of people that do not wish to be vaccinated and they remain a risk to others and so spreading infection in the work place or on holiday. If you know that people have not been vaccinated do you really want to sit next to them ? Even though this is horrible to say but I wouldn’t.
Continuing A State Of Alert! 27/2/21
In the days after President Biden’s swearing him into office. Washington D.C is still on high alert. The National guard is still in place and the police are still heavily visible around the Capitol building in Washington. No protests get near the building or even the White House for fear of the repeat of January the 6th this year. The barbed wire is still there but is being removed on the building of railings to keep the Capitol building safe. But no one really expects for any of these things to go away. There may even have to be a permanent presence of troops outside just to reinforce security.
It is no surprise this has to happen. Here in the UK something that now goes round government building in the U.S was permanent here years ago. Even the troops protecting the royal palaces have to be inside so they themselves do not become a target. Freedom comes at a price and security has to be beefed up so that security is at the forefront of any attempt of any terrorist plot. Any MP is at risk even those that do not play any role in government or shadow government. Everyone is a target. So in the best interests of the US congress. You will have to get used to it!
