RedFox Blog: Has Spring Sprung ?
Post 822 1/4/21
With the warmer weather here the obvious observation that spring has finally arrived. But it could be no more than a blip. Why you ask. Well when I was a teen the weather turned very cold and it begun to snow. Something very unusual back then. But now it is becoming more and more common. What has happened to our weather patterns ? With lambing season now well under way and the blossom coming out on the trees one good frost and we plunge back into winter. A very bad thing as we need a bit of good weather and some warm days will do us mentally well.
With this virus going around and being stuck in our houses for best part of three months. The spring weather will bring some relief. As we can then venture out and about and have a run and do the gardening. However in my garden the warm winter means that instead of the nice plants of spring I have a garden full of weeds. Because it has been so wet during winters past I have not bothered to plant any flowers. A let down I think. Spring for me is a release because I can go for a walk or a drive. And feel the air as the weather is much better for outside activities.
Health Fresh Air and Exercise 2 /4/21
Exercise over the past four months has had to be taken outside in the rain or not at all. But now is the time to take back up the regime as once again lockdown is easing. Now in the UK you can take a run in the park or even play a team sport. But! remember that it must be outside only. And the sun is out to play for the first day of another freedom. Outside gyms can also be used. But! you cannot still take any holiday abroad as infections are rising. How very different can the UK be from other countries that are going through a disaster of a start to their vaccination campaign.
Our country can do this even though exports from this country is nil. We have a healthcare system that can withstand a lot of punishment. However the UK government is not playing fair with those that stopped people dying. They have not been appreciated enough and rewarded through their hard work. A miserly 1% pay rise is not a justification to say thank you for your hard work. Health is a very special thing to have. When people are well then the healthcare system is not a problem. But when people become very ill then the healthcare system becomes a lifeline.
