It has been announced that there will be a Traffic Light system to prevent Covid-19 spreading even faster here by ensuring travelers go to a country where the virus is not spreading fast. The first country to be announced that is green. And that country is Portugal. Yep the very sunny and warm coast on the western Atlantic coast of Europe is the first country on the green list. And it has to be pointed out the only! country that is on the green list. So if you want to be go on a warm break go to Portugal. But like I said last week be warned!

This country could change from green to amber or to red at any time. So stop and think. Is your visit needed. Have you got to go to work straight after you arrive back in the UK. And! are you prepared to fly back immediately if things go for the worst ? If you cannot afford to lose time at work because you have to self isolate then I suggest you have to stay at home and have a staycation. And that is the only way of ensuring that after your holiday you do not to self isolate. Although you could never guarantee that the sun would shine.

Jobs Need To Be Done. 10/5/21

All Jobs need to be done whether they be well paid or not. But recently in the UK local government jobs are being very under paid and that means those doing them feel under valued. The value of a job is usually calculated on the responsibility that someone doing that job. However because of the need or in my view the greed to make profit is making jobs undervalued. It is not possible to inform the mangers and directors of what their policy is doing to the delivery of the service. And now many of those doing the basic job is now what I call job hopping.

This means because they are being underpaid. They won’t stick at their job and try and better themselves by trying to find a better job with better prospects. But unfortunately there are no jobs that are doing basic but necessary work that are highly paid. And the welfare of the workforce is also being undermined by these profiteers. And that is why so many people are these days looking for better days and more highly paid jobs and that’s the reason why many leave on a regular basis. Can we not learn that our workforce will not stick at their jobs unless its highly paid!
