As the beginning of June gets ever nearer so does the most important heads of state conference also gets close. The meeting of the G7. This year it meets in Cornwall UK. And it will be the first foreign trip the new president of the United States. Joe Biden takes. He has stressed in a pre trip interview that he will be there resetting the relations between the U.S and its European allies. And the first person he will meet is the Prime Minister of the UK. And there will be talks before the rest of the G7 come to the UK. I do not expect this kind of meeting to bode well.
Seeing that Biden is not a conservative and he will be the most important person there as his country is the most powerful in the world. On the agenda will be Russia and China. These countries do threaten the peaceful world with their military might. But they also want peace but at what price ? We will all see when the G7 meet and their communication comes through on their agreements. There is nothing wrong within the G7 just accepting that getting together and presenting a united front would be best. This policy will mean that countries like Russia and China will understand the realities.
All Quiet 26/5/21
With the flurry of activity at SpaceX come to a complete halt there is time to take stock of what we have witnessed and to talk about the future. As the advances that SpaceX have achieved will effect manned space flight for the future. SpaceX have proved that a large Space vehicle like the Starship can now send humans into deep space. It is now working and so the next step will be to launch it into space. If this flight is successful then NASA’s Contract will be proved correct. A manned re usable Space vehicle can fly humans to a colony on the moon.
But before that can happen it now has to be launched into space on a booster. But no ordinary booster. This will have to be a monster! And what is being constructed and SpaceX headquarters IS a monster. And also remember that Star Ship will go on top of this Booster. It will be bigger than the Saturn v Rocket that was used to send humans to the Moon at the end of the sixties. But the technology and the computers will be able to take command for the first few flights. Again something that could only be dreamt of in the seventies. And now coming true.
