RedFox Blog: Drone Attack!
Post 851 2/6/21
Above is a picture of a military life sized Drone. The drones I am talking about are really very small. But small does not mean they are harmless. In actual fact the smaller drones are more lethal than the military drones. The smaller sized version can easily slip into a area of sky unnoticed. This makes them more dangerous. In the past there have been places like airports that have had to shut down because drones of the smaller version have entered the runway area. These incursions have been detected and the runways shut down causing long delays.
Protected air space such as airports need to keep people safe and that means when a small drone enters airport airspace then safety has to be paramount. Meaning that the airport has to be shut down. Some incursions have been accidental. But! some or most of the incidents have been deliberate. There are regulations with these air vehicles. But most are ignored. Technology though could come into play to detect the original owner of that drone. And a licence system should come into existence so the owner can be tracked and fined if any incidents occur.
Wetlands 3/6/21
Above is a picture of puddles in a wooded area. But wetlands are similar except they would grow as peat bogs as well. Wetlands give much needed shelter to many animals and birds and is a very important feature of nature. However these areas of land are under constant threat from developers. Why ? because the constant need for housing make these parcels of land are usually in highly populated areas. Such as the moorlands of Lancashire. The fens are also valuable areas of wetland. And as such could be in time be built on.
Mind you come to think of it these areas also are at an high risk of flooding. We should be really protect them from the pressures that other parcels of land are under. Our nature needs some where to live and grow. And building on these shows how we could destroy those things that nature provides. And we want bio diversity and wetlands provide this in many square miles of undeveloped land. So why build on them if it destroys the habitat ? We need to protect them come what may! And in doing so we will protect nature for many years to come.
